equation in slope intercept form:

y = 2x +1

given coordinates:

(2,5) and (3,7)

find slope,m:

(y2 - y1)/(x2-x1)= (7-5)/(3-2) = 2

using the formula:

y - y1= m(x-x1) : y-5=2(x-2)

y = 2x +1

Answer:

equation in slope intercept form: y = 2x +1

Explanation:

  • given coordinates = (2,5) and (3,7)
  • find slope,m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

= (7 - 5) / ( 3 - 2)

= 2

  • using the formula: y - y1= m( x - x1 )
    : y - 5 = 2( x - 2 )

: y = 2x +1
