Answer:

(x - 8)²

Explanation:

This is in the form of a perfect square, that is

(x + b)² = x² + 2bx + b²

with x = x - 3 and by comparison of like terms

2b = - 10 ⇒ b = - 5

Then

(x + b)²

= (x - 3 - 5)²

= (x - 8)² ← in factored form

Answer:

This question is asking for the pattern , not the factoring of it...

this is the
(a+b)^(2) pattern = a^(2) + 2ab + b^(2)
