A graphic artist has a picture that is 5 inches by 10 inches. The picture

needs to be enlarged so the longer side is 30 inches. The ratio of the
side lengths will remain the same. How long will the shorter side be
after the enlargement?

15 inches

Step-by-step explanation:
Since they’re the same shape and the longer side was multiplied by three, then the short side needs to be multiplied by three

If you’re using a formula;
5/x = 10/30 (old lengths on top) (new lengths on bottom)
10x=150 (multiply diagonals)
x=15

Hope this helps.
