Answer:

y = 2x + 19

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given the line has a slope m = 2 , then

y = 2x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c , substitute the point (- 9, 1 ) into the partial equation

1 = 2(- 9) + c = - 18 + c ( add 18 to both sides )

19 = c

y = 2x + 19 ← equation of line
