We know that,

  • Exterior angle of the triangle given = SUM of other two opposite angles to it
  • ext angle = < a + <b (They are angles opposite to ext angle!)

Given:

Here <a = x°

  • <b =102°
  • ext angle = 157°

On putting values:

  • 157 = x + 102
  • x = 157 -102
  • x = 55°
