Would the number of hours traveled and the remaining distance to a destination likely have a strong negative or a strong positive association? Why

Answer: Negative Association

Reason

The more you travel, the closer you get to your destination. This assumes that you are traveling straight there and not taking any detours. As the number of hours traveled go up, the distance to your destination goes down, and vice versa.

The two variables move in opposite directions. One goes up, the other goes down.
