Anyone please help me i know its not B though but im having trouble with it

Select the paragraph from the section "Guilty Of The Very Crime You Claim To Hate" that explains why Banneker is implying Jefferson is a hypocrite.

A: You were then justly outraged by the violation of a liberty to which you believed yourself entitled. You were then fully convinced that God has given the same rights and privileges to all. You believed it was wrong to rob any man of his liberty.

B: Yet even as you declared your own right to be free, you still thought it proper for the majority of my fellow black Americans to be enslaved. How unfortunate that you should be found guilty of that most criminal act, depriving a man of his liberty. You were guilty of the very crime you claim to hate in others.

B: I shall not presume to tell you how those who are now enslaved may be relieved of their suffering. I will merely recommend to you and all others that you "put your soul in their souls' stead." Try walking in their shoes and seeing the world though their eyes. Thus shall your hearts be enlarged with kindness and benevolence toward them. Once your sympathy has been awakened I am sure it will be clear to you how best to proceed.

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

The paragraph that explains why Banneker is implying Jefferson is a hypocrite is:

B: Yet even as you declared your own right to be free, you still thought it proper for the majority of my fellow black Americans to be enslaved. How unfortunate that you should be found guilty of that most criminal act, depriving a man of his liberty. You were guilty of the very crime you claim to hate in others.

In this paragraph, Banneker points out the hypocrisy in Jefferson's actions. He acknowledges that Jefferson declared the right to be free for himself but still supported the enslavement of others, which is the very crime Jefferson claims to hate in others. This passage highlights the inconsistency in Jefferson's beliefs and actions, making him appear hypocritical.
