x = 30 ml of 10%

50 - x = 20 ml of 15%

Explanation:

0.10x + 0.15(50 - x) = 0.12(50)

distribute

0.10x + (7.5 - 0.15x) = 6

Combine like terms

-0.05x = -1.5

Divide both sides by -0.05

x = 30 ml of 10%

50 - x = 20 ml of 15%
