Explanation:

Let the adults entered that day be x
So,

The children would be 296 - x.

From this we get,

7x + 2(296-x) = 1092

5x = 500

x = 100

Hundred Adults entered the amusement park that day and,

(296-100) = 196 Children entered the park that day.
