Answer:

Coming from someone with ADHD I believe this is true in only some cases and family support makes a big difference. I was adopted and came from a family history of people with ADHD all of them had been in and out of jail many times and had a history of drug and alcohol addiction and abuse. After being adopted into a healthy christian family i have learned self control and i would not follow the same road as my biological family. My younger brother on the other hand struggles much more with his ADHD impulsivity then me but NO case is ever hopeless.

(i hope this helped)
