Answer:

Δy =-4-1 = -5

Δx =-8-(-6) = -2

distance = √((Δx)^2+(Δy)^2) = √(4+25) = √29

OR

\sqrt{(-6+8)²+(1+4)²}

\sqrt{4+25}

\sqrt{29}
