When we arrived at the island, crying women and children were everywhere...A women with bright-colored hair hands every one of us a small cup of milk, a food called a doughnut, and small tags that she told us would help identity who we were in the building. We were "inspected" before we were allowed to "become US citizens", though the process took about five hours...It's sad to think that thousands of people, normal, respectable humans like me and my family must endure this every day. Nonetheless, we were inspected...father was not in good health, and he couldn't come with us. Me, mother and Blau all cried and told the women and men that we would not go if father couldn't, but we were separated against our will...even our names were changed. Blau became Blue, Mother, whose name is Madsen, became Madison, and I, Noblinski, became Noble. We were crowded in a very large room with many other people like us,crying, scared, cold, worried. Different men and women inspect me briefly, they ask me questions like, "What is your name?" and "What is your religion?" Once, a tall man with glasses came to me and asked when I had last eaten. Truth be told, I could not remember...The men and women paid the closest attention to the large scar on my forehead...I'd gotten the scar many years ago while wrestling with Blau near a certain large rock. I felt scared of the people at the island, they did not look happy to be here with all of us...I have not seen Father in many years. It was a sad, frightening experience for me and my family.
