option 2 is correct

A renewable resource is a natural resource which will replenish to replace the portion depleted by usage and consumption, either through natural reproduction or other recurring processes in a finite amount of time in a human time scale.

Answer: Whether or not the resource dwindles in supply.

Why: This is the answer because the meaning of renewable is that it will eventually run out, an example of a renewable energy source is coal because it is not infinite. And the meaning of non renewable is that it will never run out, an example of a non renewable energy source is the sun because it is infinite.
