Explanation:

Sometimes you just have to 'trial and error ' it to get :

(3x +21 )(x +3 ) now you can also factor out a 3 from the first portion to get

3 (x+7)(x+3)

Or you can factor out 3 in the beginning to get

3 (x^2 + 10x + 21) then the R portion is easier to factor:

3 ( x+7)(x+3)

Or you can use the Quadratic Formula with a = 1 b= 10 c= 21

to find the zeroes are -3 and -7

then it becomes 3 * ( x+7)(x+3) as before
