Step 1: Get a variable alone
2x+3y=9
3y=-2x+9
y=-2/3x+3
Step 2: Substitute
3x+4y=5
3x+4(-2/3x+3)=5
3x-2.67x+12=5
1/3x=-7
x=-21
Step 3: Substitute Again
2x+3y=9
2(-21)+3y=9
-42+3y=9
3y=51
y=17
(-21, 17)
