Explanation:

If you know the "slope-intercept" form of equations (check your textbook), you just put in the values they gave you:

y = mx + b

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept, which is the place the line crosses the y-axis. It's what y is when x = 0. Do you see that they gave you a point that really says, "When x = 0, y = 8"? That 8 is the y-intercept.

So then it's just: y = -7x + 8
