Explanation:

Since its an Isosceles triangle (two opposite sides are equal) and there is an angle bisector, we find that 2p-5=p+5. Simplifying, we get p = 10


Earlier, we said that the two opposite sides are equal, so 2m = 10. Simplifying, we get m = 5.

the measure of angle HIJ is just 2(2p-5), since HIJ was bisected, and one of the bisectors was 2p-5 (p+5 also works). Subbing in p = 10 we get 2(15) = 30 degrees
