Find a counterexample for the statement: "If a number is a square, then it is divisible by 2."

Answer:

1, 9, 25, 49, 81, 121, etc.

Explanation:

There are plenty of those. First let's start with, what are "squares"?

Aren't they numbers you get when you square some number?

1² = 1

2² = 4

3² = 9

4² = 16

5² = 25

There are three just right there that aren't "divisible by 2" (which also means even). In fact, it looks like every other square is odd.

Is there some trick to it I'm missing?
