Answer:

1) A • B = -252

1) A = -252 / B

2) A + B = 33

2) B = 33 -A

Putting one equation into the other we get:

A = -252 / (33 -A)

33 A - A² = -252

-A² +33A +252 = 0

A = -6.3965 and A = 39.3965

B = 33 -A

B = 33 -39.3965

B = -6.3965

Checking the answer

A + B = 33

A * B = 39.3965 * -6.3965 = -252
