Why didn't blood transfusions work very consistently before the twentieth century? Option 1: Lack of blood banks Option 2: Incompatibility between blood types Option 3: Lack of medical knowledge Option 4: Lack of donors Correct Option: 2

I may be wrong but I thinks it option 3 lack of medical knowledge because in the 20th century they weren’t really that educated on diseases like HIV. Some people may have received the wrong blood type and caused an allergic reaction, as well as swelling and hives. Blood poisoning was also a common factor that people were not aware of when giving blood transfusions in the 20th century. Hope this helps!!!
