Answer: The sum is represented as 9x - 9 in simplest form.

Explanation:

Think of consecutive odd numbers. 3, 5, 7, etc.

We have 3 of them.

I will let the first one be 3x -5 and we know the next odd number is 2 more than this one and so on.

so. our odd numbers are: (3x - 5), (3x - 5 + 2), and (3x - 5 + 4)

simplify to (3x - 5), (3x - 3), and (3x - 1)

The sum will look like:

(3x - 5) + (3x - 3) + (3x - 1) = 3x + 3x + 3x - 5 - 3 - 1 = 9x - 9
