Explanation:

Best way to look at it is to take the volume of the whole prism ignoring that there is a missing part, then subtract the value of that missing part. so take the volume of the whole

Vb=12 x 5.5 x 6.5 = 429

volume of missing part: 5 x 3 x 5.5= 79.5

now subtract the volume of smaller one

V = 429- 79.5 = 349.5
