We know that,


\text{Scale factor}=\frac{\text{Side length of scale drawing}}{\text{Side length of the original figure}}

The scale factor is
(1)/(2) and the side lengths of scale drawing are 5 inches. So,


(1)/(2)=\frac{5}{\text{Side length of the original figure}}


\text{Side length of the original figure}=5* 2


\text{Side length of the original figure}=10

Therefore, the measures of the sides of the original triangle are 10 inches.
