Answer:

Expression 2, (-34 - 3 + 39)

Explanation:

Hi there,

Lets revisit your usage of PEMDAS.

Refer to P,E,M,D,A,S, as the following;

Parenthesis

Exponents

Multiplication or Division (Left --> Right)

Addition or Subtraction (Left --> Right)

In the first expression,

-12 + 6 - 4 are all of the same equivalence (addition/subtraction, so go left to right).

-12 + 6 = -6

-6 - 4 = -10

Expression 1 = -10

In the second expression,

-34 - 3 + 39 are all of the same equivalence (addition/subtraction, so go left to right).

-32 - 3 = -35

-35 + 39 = 4

Expression 2 = 4

Therefore, the second expression (-34 - 3 + 39) is greater as 4 > -10
