Answer: 8.2 ounces

Work Shown

1 pound = 16 ounces

(4 dollars)/(16 ounces) = (2.05 dollars)/(x ounces)

4/16 = 2.05/x

4x = 16*2.05

x = 16*2.05/4

x = 8.2 ounces

This value is exact and hasn't been rounded.

If your teacher requires you to round to the nearest ounce, then it would be 8 ounces (which is equivalent to 1/2 a pound).
