Why does the smoke always rises up​?

Answer: The temperature of the smoke is higher than the surrounding air.

Explanation: This causes the molecules in the smoke to move faster and spread apart. As a result, the smoke becomes less dense than the surrounding air and rises upwards. Wind can also cause smoke to rise upwards.
