If m ABC =(3m-15)° and m ABD=(5m+59)°, find the value of m such that ABC and ABD are supplementary.

Answer:

the sum of the supplementary angles = 180°

ABC =(3m-15)° and m ABD=(5m+59)°

(3m-15)°+(5m+59)°=180

3m-15+5m+59=180

8m+44 = 180

8m = 180-44

m =136/8=17°

m= 17°

∠ABC = 3*17-15=36°

∠ABD = 5*17+59=144°
