To divide (27x^3 - 72x^2 + 36) by 9x, we can simplify the expression by dividing each term by 9x:
(27x^3 - 72x^2 + 36) / 9x
= 27x^3 / 9x - 72x^2 / 9x + 36 / 9x
= 3x^2 - 8x + 4
Therefore, the simplified expression is 3x^2 - 8x + 4.
