The two types of light-sensitive cells in the human eye are found in the retina, which is the innermost layer of the eye.

The two types of cells are called rods and cones.

Rod cells are sensitive to low levels of light and are responsible for night vision, while cone cells are sensitive to different wavelengths of light and are responsible for color vision. There are three types of cone cells, each sensitive to a different range of wavelengths: short-wavelength cones (blue), middle-wavelength cones (green), and long-wavelength cones (red).
