Even though the sun is closest to the mount everest yest snow still covers the mountain,how?

Answer: There isn’t much less distance from Sun, its only 8 kilometers. And for every 100 meters of mountain, the temperature decreases -0.6 Celcius degrees, so for example, if there are 24 Celcius Degrees at 0 meters above sea level, then we can count, what temperature it would be in Mount Everest:

8,848 : 100 ~ 88

88 * -0.6 = -52.8

Now we subtract from 0 meters temperature:

24 - 52.8 = -28.8, and snow melts is 0 celcius degrees. So that’s how snow doesn’t melt.
