An airplane has a wingspan of 25 feet and a length of 20 feet. You are designing a model of the airplane with a wingspan of 15 inches. What will the length of your model be?

Answer: 12 inches

Explanation:

First we have the formula:


(W)/(L) = (w)/(l)

Where W is the big wingspan and L is the big length.


l = (L)/(W) * w

In this particular case it's not necessary to convert the units because we have the ratio in feet and it simplifies.
