1. Two angles are complements and one is twice the other. What are the angles? Draw them.​

Answer: 30° and 60°, see attached for picture.

Explanation:

Complement angles are angles that add up to 90 degrees. We can create an equation knowing that one is twice the other. Let x be the smaller angle.

Given:

x + 2x = 90°

Add like terms:

3x = 90°

Divide both sides by 3:

x = 30°

Substitute to find the larger angle:

2x = 2(30) = 60°
