6x + 16 = 8x -2
6x + 16 + 2 = 8x - 2 + 2
6x - 6x + 18 = 8x - 6x
18 = 2x
18/2 = 2x/2
9 = x
LN = 6(9) + 16 = 70
MP = 8(9) - 2 = 70
