Explain why a student who runs 3/4 mile in 6 minutes is faster than a student who runs1/2 in 5minuts

3/4 equals 0.75, which is 0.125 for a minute , 1/2 equals 0.5 which is 0.1 for a minute. The 1 minute difference in the time is not enough for 1/2 to run 1 mile
