You were asked at the beginning of the semester, who in your opinion, Business, Society, or Government, has more power and influence over the other two and why? Since then, you have explored and discussed leadership through various SWOT analysis and performed a stakeholder analysis dissecting and understanding the various roles, influences and impacts each stakeholder may or may not have on the success of a project.

Think about this semester and all you have learned. Using your analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the material by sharing your current opinion of who has more power and influence, Business, Society or Government. This time, demonstrate why based on what has been covered in this course. Your answer may be the same, but explain why it is the same and what brought you to the same conclusion. If you answer is different, explain why it is different and what brought you to that new conclusion.
Your essay must be supported through material covered in the course in your own words, your own thoughts, your own opinions, supported by concepts covered in the text. Fully develop your response. Convince your reader why you think the way you do. Brief, simple, answers that do not connect the text with your opinion and answers that don’t answer "why" will not be sufficient.
here is my first answer:
I think that the government has the most power and influence over business and society. This is because the government has the power to make and enforce laws, rules, and policies that have a direct effect on what businesses and people do. Governments also have the power to collect taxes, give subsidies, and help businesses in other ways that can have a big effect on how they run and how successful they are. Also, governments can start or stop wars and trade deals, which can have a big effect on business and society as a whole.

Final answer:

The government is believed to hold the most power over businesses and society due to its ability to enforce laws, levy taxes, provide subsidies, and initiate or cease wars and trade deals.

Step-by-step explanation:

In reflecting on this semester and our course material, my view remains the same: the

government

holds the most power and influence over both businesses and society. We explored numerous SWOT and stakeholder analyses that demonstrated how the government's powers directly impact the operations and success of businesses.

The government's capacity to enforce laws, rules, and policies, for example, can greatly shape the actions of businesses and the public. Moreover, the government's authority to levy taxes, provide subsidies, and offer various forms of support can dramatically influence the operational efficiency and success of businesses. Also, the government's ability to initiate or cease wars and negotiate trade deals profoundly impacts both the business sector and society.

Given the clear and significant influences the government can exert, these examples solidify my belief that the government holds the most power and sway over businesses and society.
