2x + 3(8 - 3x) = 3
2x + 24 -9x = 3
-7x = -21
x = 3

y = 8 - 3x
y = 8 - 3(3)
y = 8-9
y = -1

Check the math:
2(3) + 3(-1) = 6 - 3 = 3
