To calculate the amount of turf remaining after the sale, we need to subtract the total length of the two pieces of turf sold from the total length of the two rolls.

The first roll has 15 14 feet of turf, which can be simplified to 15 feet 14 inches.

The second roll has 738 feet of turf.

The seller sold 2 pieces of turf, each measuring 218 feet. So the total length of the turf sold is 2 x 218 = 436 feet.

To find the remaining amount of turf, we subtract the total length of the turf sold from the total length of the two rolls:

(15 feet 14 inches + 738 feet) - 436 feet.

We need to convert 15 feet 14 inches to feet. There are 12 inches in 1 foot, so 14 inches is equal to 14/12 = 1.17 feet.

Therefore, the total length of the first roll is 15 feet + 1.17 feet = 16.17 feet.

Now we can calculate the remaining turf:

(16.17 feet + 738 feet) - 436 feet = 318.17 feet.

So, the seller will have 318.17 feet of turf remaining after the sale.
