Given,

co ordinate of T = (-1, -3)

co ordinate of U = (4, 4)

ratio of TJ and JU = 1:2

let the co ordinate of U be (x, y)

we can find it through section formula.

m1 and m2 are the ratio

m1 = 1

m2 = 2

now,

using section fomula

x = 1(4) + 2(-1)/ 1 + 2 → 4 - 2/3 → 2/3 → 2/3

y = 1(4) + 2(-3)/1 + 2 → 4 - 6/3 → -2/3

therefore, co ordinate of U = (2/3 , -2/3).

Answer: (
(2)/(3), -
(2)/(3))

Explanation:

Point T is at (-1, -3)

Point U is at (4, 4)

Line TU moves horizontally 5 units

Line TU moves vertically 7 units

1/3 of 5 is 1
(2)/(3)

1/3 of 7 is 2
(1)/(3)

(
(2)/(3), -
(2)/(3))
