Positive effects of banning traditions would include if the tradition is something that harms themselfs or other people, you could look up ' bad traditions ' and there is people who have firework battles, but negative effects would be that the belief, or action has been passed down from generation to generation, its been in a bloodline for a while and taking it away could disrespect ancestors
