Jonathan can rent an unfurnished apartment for $600 per month or a furnished apartment for $190 per week. He will need to pay a one month deposit, plus a $350 security deposit for the unfurnished apartment. He will need to purchase furniture, which he has found for $850. Which is the better deal if Jonathan plans to stay 1 year?

Jonathan will spend 570$ monthly for the furnished apartment he will end up paying 6,840$ for the furnished apartment yearly. If Jonathan gets the unfurnished apartment he will need to pay 1,800$ to move in, he will end up paying 7,200 yearly. Hope this helps.

The answer would be the furnished one because it costs $570 per month rather than the unfinished one which costs $600 a month, plus the security deposit which is $350, and the $850 for the furniture. The unfinished apartment would cost 8,400 a year versus the furnished one which would cost $6,840 a year. The furnished apartment is a better deal.
