Answer:

D = (-10, 13)

Explanation:

You can use the gradient (aka slope) formula to calculate the slope from the midpoint to point C.

m = (y2 − y1 ) / (x2 − x1 )

m = slope

After plugging in the values for both points you get this equation:

m = (-5 - 4) / (2 - ( -4))

m = -9 / (2 + 4)

m= -9 / 6

From the midpoint to point C you have moved down nine units and to the right six units. Because you have to go the other way on the graph you are going to flip the denominator and change the signs so your slope is now -6 / 9.

if you go to the left six units from the midpoint and up nine units you have point D at (-10, 13).

The midpoint of CD isM(-4,4). One endpoint is C (2,-5). What are the coordinates of-example-1
