Ms. Gordon has 246 crayons to make coloring sets. Each coloring set will have 4 crayons. If Ms. Gordon makes as many coloring sets as possible, how many crayons will she have left?

Explanation:

For me, I personally find using long division to get a remainder, the easiest way to solve this problem. Using long division, subtract 24 from the first 2 digits of 246, putting a 6 above the line ( as 4 · 6= 24) which is above 246, then drop down the 6 left overland subtract 4 (as 4 is the smallest multiple of itself -> 4 · 1 = 4)from the 6 , leaving 2 crayons as the remainder.
