Larry has 62 nickels 24 dimes 17 quarters and 11 fifty-cent pieces. how much money does he have?

Answer: $15.25

Step by step:
Since we know that Nickels have the value of five cents, and that he has 62 nickels, we can form the equation 62×5, which equals 310.
Dimes are worth 10 cents, so the equation is 24×10, which equals 240.
Quarters worth $.25, so the equation is 17×25, which equals 425 .
And 50 Cent pieces are worth 50 cents, so the equation is 11×50, which equals 550.
Then, you take the sum of all of the equations and add them all together. 310 + 240 + 425 + 550, which equals 1,525. Since 1 dollar is equal to 100 cents, we can divide the equation by 100, leaving us with 15.25
