What should you do here?: If u +t =5 and u-t =2, what is the value of (u-t)(u² -t²)

Answer: 20

Work Shown:


(u-t)(u^2-t^2)=(u-t)(u-t)(u+t)\\\\(u-t)(u^2-t^2)=(2)(2)(5)\\\\(u-t)(u^2-t^2)=20\\\\

I used the difference of squares factoring rule. After that, replace any copy of "u-t" with 2, and replace any copy of "u+t" with 5.
