Answer:

y = 2.9x + 5.8

Explanation:

get any two pairs of coordinates and find the slope

(2, 11.6) and (4, 17.4)

use the formula to find the slope, changes in y over changes is x

(17.4 - 11.6)/(4 - 2)

5.8/2 = 2.9

slope is 2.9

use y = mx + b and plug in any one pair of coordinate to find b or y-intercept. I will use (2, 11.6)

11.6 = 2.9(2) + b

11.6 = 5.8 + b

11.6 - 5. 8 =b

5.8 = b

therefore the equation is

y = 2.9x + 5.8
