Answer:

g(x) = - 7x + 3

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

given

f(x) = - 7x - 4 ← in slope- intercept form

with slope m = - 7

Parallel lines have equal slopes , then

g(x) = - 7x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c , substitute the point (2, - 11 ) into the partial equation

- 11 = - 7(2) + c = - 14 + c ( add 14 to both sides )

3 = c

g(x) = - 7x + 3 ← equation of parallel line
