Area of 1 trapezium

= 1/2 * 7.5 * (8 + 15)

= 86.25 m^2

So area of the whole figure

= 2 * 86.25

= 172.5 m^2.

Perimeter

We first find the length of each sloping line using the Pythagoras theorem:

x^2 = (15-8)^2 + 7.5^2

= 105.25

x = √105.25

= 10.26 m

So the perimeter

= 2 * 10.26 + 2*15 + 15

= 20.52 + 45

= 65.52 m to the nearest hundrdeth.
