Answer:

Its a composite shape, so you'll have to "cut" it into basic shapes first.

I've cut it into two rectangles A and B... (see attachment)

Rectangle A on its own would have a l = 5 yd and w = 3 yd

Rectangle B will have l = 15 yd and w = 2yd

Total area = Area of A + Area of B

= (5 × 3) + (15 × 2)

= 15 + 30

=
