Fred earns $40 mowing the lawn. He spends $10 on music, and puts half of what's left in a savings account. He then gets another $5 for washing his neighbor's car. First, write the expression that represents the number of dollars Fred keeps (and does not put in his savings account), and then simplify.

Answer:

40-10/2 + 5 which would be $20, I’m not sure though

Explanation:

since he has 40 and gets rid of ten he now has 30 dollars. After that he puts half away, which leaves him with $15. 15+5=20. $20
