The beetles that are not eaten by the birds will have a chance to allow their population to grow because a. they aren't being eaten and b. they have more space as the other colored beetle's population is shrinking. Causing the eaten species to become less prominant and the not eaten beetle's population to grow and take over in place of the other beetles.
